We believe theatre is a journey of self-discovery. It’s about building friendships, embracing inclusivity, letting go of ego, and following your heart—because real art starts here, guiding you to uncover your passion, purpose, and creative spark.

Meet the Heart Behind AWOHP
Nicole Lippey founded A Work of Heart Productions, drawing inspiration from her personal journey through the challenges of a cutthroat theatre environment during her childhood and education. Motivated by her experiences, Nicole envisioned a sanctuary for young creatives to shine brightly. Her passion led to the creation of a space where each individual is not just valued but cherished, emphasizing that they are more than enough. With a fervor for theatre education, Nicole focuses on producing empowering shows for children, teens, and adults to showcase their talents. As the author of “The Work of Heart,” she dedicates herself to inspiring and guiding young performers. When not onstage or behind the scenes, Nicole treasures quiet, joyful moments with her loving husband and her sons, Charlie and Ted—who are also her besties—all of whom are the heart of her world.
Angelo De Fazio holds a Master's degree in Educational Theatre from New York University and a degree in Theatre Performance and Communication from Seton Hall University. He teaches theatre and communication at various institutions including Seton Hall University and works as Director of Theatre at multiple high schools, middle schools, and is a NJ Certified Teacher of Theatre at Frank J. Smith School in East Hanover. With extensive experience in directing, teaching, and performing, Angelo has worked on diverse productions ranging from classic plays to children's theatre both professionally and in the community —where he most enjoys sharing his love of the arts.
Testimonials
A Work Of Heart is not only an incredible place for our daughter to get a chance to perform in quality productions and hone her musical theatre skills, but it is a place where she builds confidence, self esteem, and learns the value of working as a team in an incredibly supportive environment. AWOH has become a home away from home!

AWOHP has become such a big part of my life. AWOHP sees performers for who they truly are, never placing them into a box and always embracing their talent and essence. The moment you step into your first rehearsal, you are as much a member as people on their hundredth.
—Matthew White
A Work Of Heart develops my child's growth on stage, and, perhaps more importantly, off stage as well. Nicole, Angelo and team put on amazing shows while installing confidence, compassion, creativity and positivity at every step. Rehearsal days are the highlights of the week, and watching her grow, make friends, and ultimately shine on stage is a true joy.
